  Notes	Virgie Speights wrote a sketch of this couple on the occasion of their 58th wedding anniversary, in a column of hers dated August 6, 1963. It was published in her book "Old Timers of Sabine County, Texas." He was a Methodist Minister at the First Methodist Church. He was born in Shellrock, Freeborn County, MN, moving with his family to Chicago, Ill, where is father was a railroad worker with the Rock Island Railroad. Bly's first job was also with the railroa, but her preached on the side until 1902, when he moved to Arkansas to become pastor at Chippo, and has been a full time pastor ever since. His next pastorage was at Mansfield, Louisiana, where he met and married Lavinia Anderson.
