      Charles E. Herrington

      Charles E. Herrington, 71, of Pineland died on June 6, 2007 in Hospice in the Pines In-Patient Unit.

      He was born April 12, 1936 to Charles A. Herrington and Lola Smith. He had lived in Pineland his entire life and was a repairman with Contel Communications Telephone Co.

      Survivors: wife, Bobbie Herrington of Pineland; sons, Ronald Wayne Herrington and wife, Carla of Lufkin, James Robert Herrington of Pineland, and Samuel Ray Herrington of Pineland; daughter, Linda Dale and hsuband, Randy of Alexandria, LA; sister, Shirley Medley of Bridge City; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

      Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, with Rev. Michael Wright officiating. Interment followed in Pineland Cemetery.
