The STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST, Volume 15, dated September 1, 1952, noted that "Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dale recently completed the erection of, and with their two children, moved into a fine ranch-type home on their farm near Marlette. Doing much of the work themselves, they started the building before Don was stricken with Polio last fall. Don spent several months in a hospital and is recovering nicely through his own perserverance along with the loyal assistance of his wife, in addition to the efforts of modern medical science."

According to a article published by the Cass City Chronicle on August 6, 1981, commemorating the Fiftieth and Final Striffler-Benkelman Reunion, the final issue of the STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST appears to have been Volume 28, published in 1968.), Volume 9, September 2, 1946 (Reliability: 3).
