Machen 12 Mar 1874, Lampasas Co., TX. 3-Anna Carter, 5 Apr 1860 to 10 Oct 1861, MS. 4-Frank S. Carter, 5 Jun 1861 to 9 Oct 1861, MS. 5-Marshall Ney Carter, b. 22 Sep 1867, TX. Died abt 1933 in Jan Juan, TX. Married Catherine B. Lucas 30 Sep 1888, Lampasas Co, TX. William P. Carter's parents were Allen Alexander Carter, born about 1810, possibly in SC, and probably died in TX after 1880 (last record I have is the 1880 census, Lampasas Co, TX), and Sarah McLemore Carter. I'm trying to find information to prove or disprove Allen's parents as Jacob and Sarah Carter. This particular Jacob would have been born about 1779 (possibly in SC), migrated to MS about 1812/1813 (without stopping in GA), and died 30 Nov 1844 in Lauderdale Co, MS.
