Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Volkmer, Beatrice; sons, Russell Volkmer, McCool Junction, Jeff (Eleanor) Volkmer, Carelton, Andrew Volkmer, Beatrice; daughters, Julie (John) Tucker, Schuyler, Mary Volkmer, Beatrice, Lisa Volkmer, Beatrice; brother, Clinton (Dee) Volkmer, Columbus; sister, Patricia (Russ) Bredenkamp, York; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday at Farmer Funeral Home, Exeter with Pastor David Cramer officiating. Visitation Thursday, 1 - 8 p.m., at Farmer Funeral Home in Exeter.
