On their way home, they ran out of money in Pollock, Louisiana, a booming sawmill town. They were all able to get jobs their, and settled in that area for a time. Though two of the brothers later moved to Jasper, Texas, Bob remained in Pollock a bit longer, and it was there he married Maudie Alva Roberts.
