  Notes	Ella Mae Horn, 94, of Rosevine, Texas passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Shady Shores of Hemphill. Ella was born January 20, 1924 in Bronson, Texas to Minton F. Dickerson and Fay Stephens Dickerson. After high school, she earned her Bachelor's Education at Stephen F. Austin University. She became a teacher and taught for many schools, including Jasper, Pineland, and Hemphill before retiring from West Sabine ISD. Ella was a lifetime resident of Sabine County and a member of Rosevine Baptist Church. She was also a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In her spare time, she loved to read, particularly Zane Grey and Louis L'amour westerns. Ella was preceded in death by her husband, W. N. "Dick" Horn; daughter, Dixie Brown; and her son-in-law, Johnnie Brown. She is survived by her nephews, Randy Rogers and wife, Gina, of Kirbyville, Texas and Justin Parker and wife, Jennifer, of Bronson, Texas; and grandson, Johnnie Brown, Jr. and wife, Tammy, of LaPorte, Texas. Burial was held in Rosevine Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas. Online condolences can be made at starrfuneralhome.com.
