  Notes	John Stromberger found the following brief article about Calvin, quoted verbatim, from a Washington, Illinois newspaper: July 18, 1901: "C. A. McLemore, who is in the employ of the A.T.S.& F in Missouri, came last week for a visit with his grandparents, Capt. and Mrs. D. S. Sheppard." When his mother died in 1910, he was a resident of Orosi, California. At this father's death in 1940 he was in Los Angeles, California. A Calvin Arthur McLemore registered for the draft for the First World War in Portland, Oregon. He reported his date of birth as 14 Jun 1874, and was caucasian. He worked for a Wholesale house, and his nearest relative was Martha Alberta McLemore. He was of medium heighth and build, and had dark brown hair.
