  Notes	The Sabine County Reporter July 13, 1994, Page 7 Avor Harper Funeral services for Mrs. Avor Harper, 97, of Hemphill were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 1994, at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. W. Clarence Howell officiating. Interment followed at Harper's Chapel Cemetery in Sabine County. She died at 10:40 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 1994, at Medical Center in Nacogdoches. Born Feb. 6, 1897, in Sabine County, Mrs. Harper was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of the Baptist church and a retired homemaker. Survivors: a daughter, Jessie Lee "Sookie" Bird of Hemphill; three sons, Wendell Harper, Atrell Harper, and Glenn Harper, all of Hemphill; a sister-in-law, May McFarland of Monroe, Louisiana; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
