Carl Arvid Beall Sr., 96, of Milam died early Thursday, Dec. 22, 1994, at Sabine County Hospital-Hemphill.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the New Hope Baptist Church near Milam with Bro. Dick McLain and Bro. Miton Powell officiating. Interment followed at Vickers Cemetery near Milam.
Arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill.
Beall, born July 16, 1898, in Geneva, had been a lifelong resident of Sabine County, a retired farmer, and a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the W. R. Blackshear 36th Division of volunteers in Sabine, San Augustine, and Jasper Counties.
Survivors include his wif, Belva Vickers Beall of Milam; a son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Patsy Beall of Milam; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Dick McLain of Nacogdoches and Ronnie and Bill Greer of Milam; a sister, Elise Cate of Milam; ten grandchildren; 24 (great) grandchildren; and two great (great) grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, C. A. Beall Jr., and a granddaugher, Mary Elise Raiford.
