      Robert E. "Bob" Jacks Jr.

      Robert E. "Bob" Jacks Jr., 62, of Vidor died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at his residence.

      Jacks, a native of Pineland, had lived in Vidor 17 years and was a retired seaman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in Korea.

      Survivors: wife, Linda Jacks of Vidor; son, Victor Jacks of Kountze; a daughter, Myra Carpenter of Palatka, Florida; step-son, Tommy Davis of Vidor; brother, Larry Jacks of Buna; sister, Murrell Baker of Silsbee; and six children.

      Funeral services were held Sept. 7 at Vidor Memoral Funeral Home's chapel, Vidor. Interment followed at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery in Vidor.
