  Notes	The Sabine County Reporter September 8, 1999, page 12 Robert E. "Bob" Jacks Jr. Robert E. "Bob" Jacks Jr., 62, of Vidor died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at his residence. Jacks, a native of Pineland, had lived in Vidor 17 years and was a retired seaman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in Korea. Survivors: wife, Linda Jacks of Vidor; son, Victor Jacks of Kountze; a daughter, Myra Carpenter of Palatka, Florida; step-son, Tommy Davis of Vidor; brother, Larry Jacks of Buna; sister, Murrell Baker of Silsbee; and six children. Funeral services were held Sept. 7 at Vidor Memoral Funeral Home's chapel, Vidor. Interment followed at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery in Vidor. (Transcribed by Melinda McLemore Strong, June 2011)
