      Lula Mae Smith

      Lula Mae Smith, 82, of Fairmount died early Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, in Hemphill.

      Mrs. Smith was bonr Aug. 2, 1917 in Sabine County as a daughter of the late Ellix and Mattie McNaughten. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She and her family had formerly operated Smith's TV Sales and Services Inc in Hemphill.

      Survivors: sons, Tony Gerald Smith of Fairmount and Jerry Wayne Smith of Kountze; a sister, Exanna Clark of Fairmount; five granchildren, Linda Beasley, John Smith, Jason Smith, Troy Smith Jr., and Artie Easley; and five great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy A. Smith.

      Funeral services wsere held Nov. 28 at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Wilbur A. Hornberger and Bro. Wayne Alford officiating. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery in Fairmount.
