The Sabine County Reporter April 30, 1997, Page 14 Don Burkhalter Donald Lee Burkhalter, 64, of Rt. 4, Hemphill, died at 2 a.m. Monday, April 28, 1997 in Hemphill. Burkhalter was born Nov. 22, 1932 in Sabinetown. He had lived in Sabine County several years and was a retired mechanic. Survivors include his parents, Ruth Anderson Koblinski of Grand Prarie and Elzie Burkhalter of Houston, a son, Danny Burkhalter of North Carolina; a brother, a sister, two grandchildren; and aunts and uncles. Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill. Interment will be at Harper's Chapel Cemetery.
