  Notes	At the time of the 1940 census, he was living in Sabine County, Texas with his maternal grandparents, Wade and Ester Anderson. The Sabine County Reporter April 30, 1997, Page 14 Don Burkhalter Donald Lee Burkhalter, 64, of Rt. 4, Hemphill, died at 2 a.m. Monday, April 28, 1997 in Hemphill. Burkhalter was born Nov. 22, 1932 in Sabinetown. He had lived in Sabine County several years and was a retired mechanic. Survivors include his parents, Ruth Anderson Koblinski of Grand Prarie and Elzie Burkhalter of Houston, a son, Danny Burkhalter of North Carolina; a brother, a sister, two grandchildren; and aunts and uncles. Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill. Interment will be at Harper's Chapel Cemetery.
