    Notes
    • Charlcye Barrett was born Charlcye Joy Cammack in Sabine County, Texas on October 8, 1932. Her parents were Herman and Emma Cammack. She was the eldest of 3 (Charlcye, Max, and Gay). Their family attended Gravel Hill Baptist church in Hemphill, Tx.

After graduating from Hemphill High School, Charlcye married the love of her life, Billy Barrett. They moved to El Paso where Billy was in the service, but eventually landed in Pasadena, Tx where they would start their family. They had two boys, Doug and Don. Charlcye was a faithful Christian mother who raised the boys in church at Thomas Avenue Baptist Church (later renamed Monument Baptist Church). She remained an active member of the church until her passing.

After retiring from State Farm Insurance, she and Billy traveled the country in their motorhome. They managed to see all of the states multiple times and they relished the thought of long trips together. When they were home, she devoted her time to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Charlcye will be remembered for her sweet nature, quiet strength, and a heart of gold.

Charlcye was proceeded in death by her husband, Billy Barrett; father and mother, Herman and Emma Cammack; and her sister, Gay Cammack VanValkenburg. She is survived by her sons Doug Barrett and wife, Donnis, and Don Barrett and wife, Debbie; her grandchildren, Jason Barrett, Charlsa Barrett, Brandon Barrett, and Brooke Barrett; two great grandchildren, Barrett Crow and Zoie Chesser. Charlcye also leaves behind her brother, Max Cammack; and many nieces and nephews.
