The digital image of his actual Texas Death Certificate, viewable online at FamilySearch.org, Texas Deaths, 1890-1976, shows him as Mannie B. Pointer, and lists his locaton of birth as Placid, Texas. He is shown as the son of Granville Pointer and Alice Holland. He was a veteran of WWII, and died at the VA Hospital in Houston, the information on his death certicate was obtained from his records on file with the Veterans Administration.
