    • Lydie Ceal "Cotton" Kilcrease Horton, age 90, of Pearland,and former resident of the Rosevine Community, passed from this life on Monday, August 3, 2015, in Clear Lake.

      A native of Shelby County, Texas, she was born to Willie Mae (Peveto) Kilcrease and Howard Kilcrease on June 22, 1925. She married the love of her life, Burnice "Monk" Horton. She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook and had worked in the Healthcare Industry in Food Service. She passed on her great skills in the kitchen to several of her family members. She was not only "Granny" to her grandchildren, but to several of her great-great nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Rosevine Missionary Baptist Church in Sabine County.

      Those who are left to cherish her memory include, Her daughter, Jackie Horton Spears of Pearland; Son, Ronnie Horton and his wife, Brenda of Hemphill; Her beloved grandchildren, Brandi and Ryan Roberts; Dustin and Jana Horton; Amy Aulds; Charley and Tellina Wright; Logan and Landen Horton; Her Great-Grandchildren, Chelsie, Dylan, Tristan, Kelli, Meghan and Cody; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Her Brother, Charles "Eleck" Kilcrease and his wife, Linda of San Augustine; Sister, Joyce Davis and her husband, James of Center; Her special children, Bethany, Dylan and Aynsley, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

      She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Burnice "Monk" Horton; Her brothers, Jack; J.W. and Tom Kilcrease; Her sisters, Ruth Jones and Maggie Dearman

      Pallbearers will include, Ryan Roberts; David Miles; Noe Ramirez; Hunter Mosley; Dustin Horton; and Jamey Brittain. Honorary Pallbearers will include, Charley Brittain; Troy Roberts; and Charley Wright.

      Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Rosevine Cemetery in Sabine County. Visitation will be Friday evening, August 7, 2015, from the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas 75972
