Mr. Tex C. Birdwell Sr., age 85, of Bronson, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at his residence.
Mr. Birdwell was born March 25, 1936, in Bronson, Texas, to parents Samuel Henry and Clarice Crocker Birdwell. He worked several years pipelining in the oil and gas industry, employed in several various capacities. He enjoyed living the past several years of his life on his family homeplace near Bronson, Texas. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
His survivors include his wife, Barbra Birdwell of Bronson, Texas; a daughter, Sherry McDaniel and husband Greg of Long Branch, Texas; a son, Rusty Birdwell of Huxley, Texas; grandchildren, Beth McCary and husband Cody, Jennifer McDaniel and fiance John Eric Hough, Matt Birdwell and wife Savannah, Jessica Runnels and husband Stony, Shala Saentz and husband Randy, Megan Birdwell, and Hope Birdwell; a sister, Billie Rose Patterson; six great-grandchildren; and 5 half-brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Lois Birdwell; a son, Todd Birdwell; his parents, Sam Henry Birdwell and Clarice Crocker Birdwell; and a sister, Patsy Royer.
The family requests that memorials honoring Tex may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
