      Juanita Amason

      Juanita Amason, 52, of Diboll died Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at her residence following an extended illness.

      Born Nov. 25, 1943, in Shelby County, she had lived in Diboll since 1973 and was a former longtime resident of Sabine County. She was a member of Diboll's First Baptist Church ans was formerly employed with Temple-Inland Forest Products.

      Survivors: sons and daugheter-in-law, Michael Ray and Melissa Amason, Matthew Doyle and Allison Amason, all of Lufking; her mother, Evie LaVerne Moore of Hemphill; sisters, Helen Clegg of Pineland; Mary Collis of Humble, Diane Clark of Hemphill, Shirley Jasper of Huntsville, and Carolyn Horn of Geneva; brothers, Rodney Moore and F. F. "Cotton" Moore, both of Hemphill, and W. J. "Don" Moore of Bronson; a grandson, Cody Amason of Lufkin; and a "special littel girl" Rebecca Elaine Brock of Hudson.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Amason on Dec. 14, 1991.

      Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Gipson's Funeral Home chapel in Lufkin with Bro. Buster Grigg officiating. Interment followed with 2 p.m. graveside rites at Bethel Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Pineland.

      Memorial contributiosn may be made to Hospice of the Pines at 116 S. Raguet, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
