Wade, 81, of San Augustine were held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 15, 2007 at First Baptist Church in San Augustine. Burial followed at Crow Cemetery in San Augustine County. Bro. David Burcham officiated. He died July 11, 2007 in Carthage. Sydney C. Wade was born in the Macune community in San Augustine County on April 28, 1926 to W. M. Jasper Wade and Zemma Woods. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and First Baptist Church in San Augustine. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine was in charge of arrangements.
