  Notes	Everest Luther "Dee" Wood, Sr. Everest Luther "Dee" Wood, Sr., 68, of Hemphill died Monday, May 21, 2007 at his residence. He was born July 13, 1938 to Luther Wood and Eula Mae Felts and had lived in Hemphill his entire life. He was in maintenance at Temple-Inland and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors: wife, Ruby Wood of Hemphill, mother Eula Wood of Hemphill; sons, Everest "Dickie" L. Wood and wife, Lisa, of Friendswood, John C. Webb and wife, Gail of Bronson, Thomas M. Webb and wife, Debbie of Deweyville, and Carl M. Webb, Jr. of Hemphill; daughter Cindy A. Ponder of Hemphill; brothers, Vilas "Boog" Wood of San Augustine, and Mike Wood of Hemphill; sister, Lexie McCarter of Tyler; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, May 24 from 4 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held May 25 at 10 a.m. at Starr Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Raney officiating. Interment will be in Gravelhill Cemetery.
