Murdoch and Louisa's son, Alexander Martin, married Catherine Risher, whose mother was also a McLemore. Murdoch's younger brother, Allen, married Eleanor Jane McLemore of Clarke County, Mississippi (parents not known). Additionally, Murdoch's half-brother, the only son of Norman Martin by his second wife, Eleanor Chapman, was Edwin Martin. Edwin married Mary Virginia "Jennie" McLemore of Lauderdale County, Mississippi (a daughter of Caleb Hill McLemore). Murdoch's wife, Louisa McLemore was a first cousin of Caleb Hill McLemore.
