It is on a knoll behind the old James McLemore home built about 1820. In 1936 Mrs. Lizzie Taylor Dickerson occupied it. A low brick wall and iron fence surrounds the lot. Outside the main cemetery is another smaller one, also enclosed. There are graves of slaves and faithful servants, mostly unmarked outside all enclousures.
