Dorsey, 89, of Route 3, San Ausgustine, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Colonial Pines Care Center in San Augustine. He was born Feb. 7, 1906, in Sabine County and was a longtime resident of San Augustine County. He was a member of the Methodist church and a self-employed rancher. Survivors: wife, Ruby Parker Dorsey of San Augustine; a daughter, Charlotte Tull of Huntsville; a daughter-in-law, Cecilia Terry of Tuscon, Arizona; a brother, M. H. Dorsey of San Augustine; grandchildren, Elizabeth Dorsey of Tuscon, Jennifer Tull of Austin, and Tim Tull of Houston, and a great-grandchild, Aubrey Boozer of Austin.' He was preceded in death by a son, Sam Parker Dorsey. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in San Augustine with the pastor, Bro. Jim Bass, officiating. Interment followed at McRae Cemetery near San Augustine. Services were handled by Wyman Roberts Funeral Chapel, San Augustine.
