  Notes	The Sabine County Reporter April 17, 1996, page 12 Sileta E. Gooch, age 91, of Newton died Tuesday, April 2, 1996, at the Mary E. Dickerson Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Mrs. Gooch was a native of Hemphill and a longtime resident of Newton County. Survivors: a son, K. C. "Possum" Gooch of Newton; sisters, Vera Crouch and Bertie Scott, both of Hemphill; a brother, Hershel McDaniel of Pasedena; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great granchildren. Funeral services were held April 4 at the Walter Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. Interment followed at Gooch Cemetery. (Transcribed by Melinda McLemore Strong, February 2011)
