  Notes	From his first years in Perry county, John McLemore paid taxes on 560 acres of land, up to 40 head of cattle, three slaves and a ferry which he operated on the Leaf River. At the time of his death, his large estate was divided among his heirs. His wife and daughter Elmyra shared about 880 acres between them. It is unknown what the other children received.
