      In a letter written from Seguin by Keton J. McLemore to his son Felix, dated Sept. 7, 1868, he notes that "Phillip will start in a day or two. He would perhaps be gone now, but was kept home on account of Amanda. She had a daughter born day before yesterday..." Based on census records, this must have been Mattie Ebner.
