  Notes	Adolph got lost trying to get home from school on the day of the famous blizzard of 1888. He found a hog house and climbed in it to keep warm among the hogs. He lost one of his toes to frost bite. Being quite a joker, he always told his children a mouse chewed it off. (Milligan, p 335).
