      ROSEBORO (NC) - Ernest A. [Alvin] McLemore. 70, of Route 1, Box 4S4, Roseboro, died Friday in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

      He was a member or Elizabeth Baptist Church, where he had been a deacon and trustee. He was also a retired farmer.

      The funeral will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. in Elisabeth Baptist Church by Drs. Mike Cogdill and Lamar Eiland and the Rev. Ray Smith. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

      Mr. McLemore is survived by his wife Lellon Holden McLemore; a son A. Keith McLemore of Wake Forrest; three sisters, Bonnie Gilchrist of Roseboro. Hazel Bullard of Autryville and Doris Rich of Clinton, a brother, Lynwood McLemore of Roseboro; and a granddaughter.

      The family will receive friends in Royal-Hall Funeral Home in Clinton tonight from 7 to 9, and at other times in the home.
