  Notes	James McKinney writes that he was born in Surry County, and was on the Rockcastle census in 1810 and on the 1811 tax list. he had 100 acres of land from the Thompson grant. he was on all Rockcastle census records from 1810 to 1860. He was also a veteran of the War of 1812. MaryLynn Santa shows his wife was a SARAH, and instead shows the location of death as Rockcastle, Trigg County, Kentucky. There was a 60 year old Sarah living with Gilliam and his children at the time of the 1850 census, but she was listed after the rest of the family. Additionally, a 78 year old Sarah CURLY, widowed, was living with Gilliam's son Wright, and not with Gilliam at the time of the 1860 census. Gillam came to Lincoln Co. Ky. and he made affadavit for Gestin Hudspeth Gentry, Ayres daughter, for her to get a Revolutionary Pension based on her husbands service.
