      Donnie Dean Drawhorn, 61, of Houston died Friday at Colonial Pines Nursing Home in San Augustine, where he had been a resident for several weeks.

      Funeral services were held Saturday, July 2, 1994 at 2:00 pm at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine with burial at Rosevine Cemetery in Sabine County.

      Services were conducted by Rev. Noel Hammock and Rev. Lou Dane.

      Mr. Drawhorn had lived for many years in Houston, where he was an Administrator with the Aldine School System. He was born March 9, 1933 and lived in the Rosevine Community with his parents, Eather Parker Drawhorn and the late Ira Drawhorn. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Baptist Church.

      Survivors include his wife, Shirley Drawhorn of Houston; two sons, Donnie Dean Drawhorn II and Derek Dayne Drawhorn, both of Houston; two brothers, I.B Drawhorn Jr of Bronson and Joe Parker of Crystal Beach; three sisters, Eva Mae Springer of Louisiana, Juanita Cartwright of San Antonio and Dorothy Cindric of Canton, Ohio; and his mother, Eather Drawhorn of San Augustine.

      Pallbearers were Bob Wagstaff, Winfred Wright, Joe Cindric, Wendell Eddings, Billy Franks and Billy Rae Ware.

      A nearly identical obituary was published in the July 6, 1994 issue of the Sabine County Reporter.
