Page 12 Effie R. Kammerling, age 92, of Lufkin died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at a Lufkin hospital. She was a former longtime resident of Jasper County and had lived in Angelina County 51 years. Survivors: a son, Rev. Van J. WESTBERRY of Pineville, Louisiana; a daughter, Kathryn SELPH of Lufkin; a brother, Berlin "Bill" Byerly of Pineland; ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Gipson's Funeral Home in Lufkin. Interment followed at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Jasper County with 3:30 p.n. graveside rites.
