  Notes	San Augustine Tribune Thursday, March 20, 2003 V.B. Chambers Mr. V.B. Chambers, age 81, of San Augustine, Texas passed away March 15, 2003, at Memorial Health Center, San Augustine. Funeral services for Mr. Chambers were held Monday, March 17, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, San Augustine with Rev. Frank HOLBRATH officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Hill Memorial Gardens, San Augustine. Mr. Chambers was born February 13, 1922, in Sabine County to Oliver A. Chambers and Velma Chambers. Mr. Chambers was a farmer/rancher and enlisted in the Navy during World War II.He was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church and a member of the Sexton Masonic Lodge in Milam, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Katy Chambers of San Augustine; son and daughter-in-law, Lane and Betty Chambers of San Augustine; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Rusty JONES of Fred, Texas, and Rhonda and Steve THOMPSON of San Augustine; grandchildren Crystal ALLEN and husband, Chad, Clint CHAMBERS, Heath JONES, Brad JONES, Nicole THOMPSON, and Jessica THOMPSON; sister, Mittie Bea ISOM of Nederland, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Chambers is preceded in death by a son, Wylie Chambers and a grandson, Lynn BENEFIELD. (Transcribed by Melinda McLemore Strong)
