    • White and Toole speculate that he was a descendant of Benjamin Impson, b ca 1740 in Norway, served with the 3rd Regiment from Vester Co, New York during the American Revolution. Benjamin's descendants moved west into Salina County, Kansas and Colorado. The branch from which the the Sabine County, Texas Impson's descend moved first into Giles County, Tennessee and then on to Monroe, Louisiana. (White and Toole, p 51).
