The family consisted of Richard, Mary who married Paul Strate, Joe, Frank, Emma who married Joe Zumpfe, Fred Albert, Henry, Ludvik, Jerry and one brother and sister who died at birth. He attended Busy Bee School, located between Milligan and Western, throught he 8th grade. He then helped his father on the farm (Milligan, p 268).
