    • (Research):Not known with certainty if any of the items below related to Frank and Katherine Bartu's son William, or another William Bartu.

      Dennis Belohlavy notes that he "found an SSDI for a William Bartu with DOB of 05 Dec 1894. Does not mean is same person, but just want to be sure." It is not known with certainty which source is correct, and which is in error, or if these are even the same person. His DOD was Aug 1974, and his obituary is the second transcription below.

      Miss Rose Simon returned Sunday from Tobias, Neb., where she spent a swek with her sister, Mrs. William Bartu and MRs. Bartu. This morning she left with her sister, Miss Alice Simon for Platte S.D.. They will remain there for a month visiting their father, John Simon, and their brother, Ed Simon and Mrs. Simon.
