It was noted that she was a seamstress from Billings, Oklahoma and was looking for a greener pastures when she came to New Mexico. She was said to be the daughter of Samuel F. Russell, born ca 1833, in Coatsville, PA, and d. 8-1917 at age 84. He was married to an Inez on 14 Jan 1851 in Cleveland, Ohio. Other children, James Russell (son by his first wife, Elizabeth Moore), and Charlie Lovington Russell.
