  Notes	The Sabine County Reporter October 23, 2002, Page 17 Madie O. Roberts Madie O. Roberts, 85, of Brookeland died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at Avalon Place in Kirbyville. Mrs. Roberts was a native and longtime resident of Brookeland. She formerly owned and operated M&M Grocery. Survivors: sons, William Roberts and Gene Roberts, both of Jasper; daughters Letta Tate of Jasper and Mollie Donahoe and Bulah Donahoe, both of Brookeland; brothers, Wilburn Powell of Bronson, Hollis Powell of Pineland, and Harvey Powell of Livingston; a sister, Viola Ellis of Brookeland; and 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Roberts. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Stringer & Griffine Funeral Home chapel in Jasper.
