Williamson was born Jan. 21, 1923, to Ludy Ruben and Lela Belle Boyd Gage in Sycamore. She graduated from Slidell High School and attended the University of North Texas. She married Merrill Delwin Williamson in Amarillo on April 3, 1944. She was a member of the Glory of Zion Church and the Denton County Emergency Foster Care. She is survived by her husband of Argyle; five sons, Byron Williamson of Nashville, Tenn., Greg Williamson of Springfield, Mo., Tim Williamson and David Williamson of Denton and Scott Williamson of Seymour; one sister, Kiamota Sloan of Lake Kiowa; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
