    • William Gutch Dies

      William S. Gutch, 66, died at Veterans Hospital at Wadsworth, Kansas on March 29. He had been in ill health for a number of years.

      Mr. Gutch was born in North Bend May 11, 1895. He received his education in the North Bend schools. He served in the army during World War I, being a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Infantry. Upon his return form army service he was employed in North Bend by the Farmers Telephone Company and the Nebraska Power Company. Later he went to Denver and after that spent much time in hospitals due to ill health.

      Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ara Mae) Allan; two grandsons and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank and Herman.

      A prayer service was conducted at Moser Funeral Home Saturday afternoon, followed by graveside rites at Woodland Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Favre officiated.

      Pallbearers were Wm. Goettsch, Leonard Snyder, Raymond Beznoska, Ruper Mylander, Dick Leftwich and Aaron Allan.
