Officiating Ministers were Alton Shaw and Mike McLemore [Mike McLemore is a grandnephew of Kirby Smith]. Mr. Smith died Friday, May 17, 2002 at Colonial Pines Health Care in San Augustine. He was born February 12, 1908 to Henry C. Smith and Alice Hines in Willis, Texas. He was owner of Smith Plumbing, also did construction work. He was a member of the Church of Christ, San Augustine. Survivors include sons, Larry Smith and wife, Doniece of San Augustine and Philip Smith and wife, Chris, of Tyler, Texas; Grandsons, Steve Smith and wife, Sherry of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Glenn Smith of Houston, Texas, Ryan Smith and wife, Amy of Waco, Texas; granddaughters, Lisa Shilling and husband, Cecil, of Huntington, Texas; Sharon Barbee and husband, Bobby of Shelbyville, Krista Everett and husband, Jay of Houston; 9 great-grandchildren. Wyman Roberts Funeral Home of San Augustine in charge of arrangements.
