Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Joos celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Saturday evening when their family was present at a bounteous dinner given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Joos with whom they reside.

Their daughter, Mrs. L.E. Hartman of Saginaw furnished a beautiful pyramid wedding cake, trimmed in gold and white, and the table was prettily decorated with flowers. The honored couple received congratulations and good wishes from their children and also gifts of gold from the family and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Hartmann and daughter, Ellen, of Saginaw, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Joos and daughter, Miss Katherine and Geraldine Striffler were the guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Joos were married at Saginaw May 11, 1879, and came to Cass City in 1883 and purchased the farm that has since been their home. Mr. Joos has reached the advanced age of 84 years and his companion is 74. Both are still very active and their many friends wish them good health and happiness to the end of life's journey.
