She was a native of Sexton, and had lived in Orange about 40 years. She was a Parts Clerk for Cowboy Harley in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 2, at 2:30 p.m. at Starr Funeral Homes in Hemphill. Survivors: husband, Carter STRICKLAND, Jr. of Hemphill; son Carter STRICKLAND, III of Orange, Texas; brothers, Mac POLLEY of Tyler, Grover POLLEY of San Augustine; sister, Lucy BAILEY of Waco; 3 grandchildren all of Orange; other survivors include (stepchildren): Danny STRICKLAND of Hemphill, and Sharon EDGAR of Hemphill.
