      Paul Dempsey Clark

Paul Dempsey Clark was born Dec. 7, 1926 and entered into rest on July 16, 2007.

Paul was the youngest son of W.J. (Joe) Clark and Minnie Caroline Clark. He now joins his parents and all his brothers and sisters with our Heavenly Father. As his nephew, A.B. Clark Jr. stated, his death marks the end of a Clark era.

Paul was born in Clarktown in Sabine County, Texas and lived the majority of his life in the community of Fairmount near Hemphill, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Clarice CONNER Clark, four daughters, one son-in-law, two granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren. Nieces and nephews were proud to call him Uncle Paul. Many of their friends also called him Uncle Paul.

He was an endowed member of Littleton Fowler Masonic Lodge #305 AF&AM. He was employed years ago by Temple in Pineland. He also drove many Fairmount and Six Mile children to school in Hemphill in the 1960s. He retired an accomplished carpenter from Local 610 in Pt. Arthur.

Services were held at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. The Masons provided full Masonic rites and served as pallbearers. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery near Six Mile.

Clarice, Anice, and Louisa extend heartfelt thanks to all who helped us in our time of loss. Prayers, flowers, plants, food, mowing, feeding cows, tending the garden, and many acts of kindness are sp appreciated. We ask that you continue to pray for us. We also ask that you remember Paul Clark as a strong and loving husband, daddy, uncle and friend.
