Tera Conn Childers
Tera Conn Childers, 85, of Jasper died Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995, at Mary E. Dickerson Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Mrs. Childers was a native of Sabine County and former resident of San Augustine County and Buna. She was a homemaker and longtime member of the Jasper Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors, a son, William Grady Childers Jr. of Houston; daughters, Betty Campbell of Nederland and Lou Yeates of Jasper; a sister, Carrie Scurlock of Buna; a brother, Woodrow Conn of Kingston, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lamar Allen Childers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home--Jasper Chapel. Interment was at Byerly Campground Cemetery near Jasper.
