  Married: Old Timers of Sabine County, Texas (p. 86) Virgie Speights September 15, 1966 All friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Imboden Boyd are invited to an open house on the occasion of their Golden Wedding Anniversary, Sunday, September 25, 1966, between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. Hosting the event will be their only son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Boyd. Their wedding on September 17, 1916, was performed by W. E. Dent, a Justice of the Peace, in front of his home in Milam, with the young couple seated in their shined-up buggy, and friends, relatives and neighbors gathered around, in buggies and on horseback......they are thrifty, hard-working farmers possessing an abundant share of integrity. They have always been interested in their school, their church, and their community, and its betterment. Mr. Boyd served as trustee of the Camp Ground school for many years, is active as assistant Sunday School superintendent, and on the Board of Deacons at Bethany Baptist Church at Milam.
