  Married: John married Mary Seitz (Sides) on 1-1-1799 in Rutherford County, NC Record #01-345, Bond #000136958 on July 25, 1841, John Young wrote his will, which is recorded in Cleveland Countuy Will Book 1, No. 3. In his will, John named his nine children John Young, Sr. & Mary Seitz (Sides) had the following children: 1. John Young, Jr. (b. abt. 1812 in NC. d. 9-10-1840 in Lincoln County, NC) 2. Samuel Young (b. abt. 1799 - moved after 1840 - no additional information) 3. Henry Young (b. abt. 1805 and died 1885 according to estate reords in Catawaba County, NC) 4. David Young (b. abt. 1806 in NC - moved to Union County, GA) 5. Peter Young (b. abt. 1809 in NC - d. abt. 1880 ) 6. Solomon Young (b. 8-28-1816, d. 8-23-1844) 7.
