• Notes

  Married: Reuben and Elizabeth (a cousin?) had 8 or 9 children (in Virginia) before removing to Kentucky between 1845 and 1850. They may have had as many as fourteen children by 1860. Reuben is shown as a grocery keeper in Hardinsburg in 1860, perhaps operating the store purchased by his Uncle Alexander Marshall in 1857. (Ralph Marshall, p 25).
