  Married: The Duncan Banner, Sunday, April 8, 1984 Anniversaries (Picture of Allene and John) Velma--In celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. John V. Gentry will be honored at a reception from 2 to 4 pm April 15 at the Velma Baptist Church. John and the former Allena Riggs were married April 16, 1934, in Duncan. They are lifelong residents of Stephens County and now live on a ranch east of Duncan. They have three children, June McNeill of Stillwater, Rhea Patton of Ardmore and Frankie Sims of Davis.
