  Married: Land deeds for Jesse and Jane Hix most frequently mention Stony Fork of Goose Creek and Jumping Run. The map shows Stony Creek north of Liberty but it runs into Big Otter Creek. The 554 acres Jane and Jesse sold in 1791 on Stony Fork undoubtedly had to do with her inheritance from William and Martha Ferrell. The will of William Ferrell in 1780 mentions 2,200 acres on Goose Creek, 548 acres on Bever Creek and land on Archer's Creek. (Ralph Marshall, p 17).
