| Roosevelt, Franklin Delano (B. 1882 Hyde Park, NY D. 1945 Warm Springs, Georgia) The 32nd President of the United States, Democratic Party, 1933-1945, he was greatly admired by Charles Strong, and a distant cousin to boot. This portrait of FDR was purchased by Charles Strong at an Estate Sale, and was proudly hung in the kitchen of his and Pat's homes in Edinburg, Texas, both on 8th and on 15th streets.

She was the wife of Frank Franco, a railroad conductor and they operated a grocery store, at which they also resided, on Calhoun and Claiborne. It was burned to the ground, and later rebuilt, in 1917. They had two daughters.

| Schwegler, Ben and Lena At Hamilton Rock Gardens, Ontario, Canada Ben and Lena are the first couple to the left. The man in the suit in the center of the photo appears to be Lincoln Gregor. They were at the Hamilton Rock Gardens, built during the Great Depression as a make-work project, and part of the Royal Botanical Gardens of Ontario. The gardens were built in a gravel pit by using stone from the Niagara Escarpment.
